The daughters' white wine

Thelygenie VALSAR white

AOC Valais
5 daughters, 5 white grape varieties, one top wine. This assemblage is full of symbolism and the magic of pleasure. Thélygenie stands for producers of exclusively female offspring. VALSAR are the initials of the first names of Diego and Nadia's five daughters. And the initials of the five grape varieties make up the word ‘Mache’. A top wine that sheds great light on the female future of the winery.

Wine history
chevron-down

Thelygenie VALSAR white is a blend of five different wines from Grand Cru vineyards in Valais. Each of the five wines, which are contained in equal parts in the assemblage, represents one of the five daughters of the best Swiss winemaker of the decade. The Mathier daughters have chosen the lips as the symbol for the label. Together with the mouth, they are an important part of our body for tasting and enjoying a wine. The red, sensual lips symbolise pleasure and youthfulness.

Tasting note
chevron-down

The assemblage is aromatic and elegant on the nose. The primary flavours of the Muscat are supported by the Chardonnay and Ermitage with a beautiful body. The fine Heida creates a refreshing attack on the palate with a delicate acidity. The Amigne adds a honey note at the end and a hint of ripe fruit with a long, sweet finish.

Vinification
chevron-down

The grapes are destemmed, each variety is vinified separately and married together as finished wines by blind tasting.
