The white diva

Petite Arvine Les Pyramides

AOC Valais
A wine that has caused many a winemaker sleepless nights. Petite Arvine grapes are not only of ancient origin, they have also always been very sensitive. Blessed are those who know how to masterfully handle them. The result is a celebrated moment of pleasure in the glass that will remain unforgettable thanks to its typically savoury finish. Just like the diva.

Aperitif, starters, sea fish and shellfish, poultry and rabbit meat and hard cheese. Particularly delicious with gilthead bream cooked in the oven with a sprig of thyme and lemon wedge.

Wine history
chevron-down

The name of this ancient Valais grape comes from Latin, so it is not only thought to have originated in Roman times, but that it also found its way to Valais thanks to the legendary Roman emperor Julius Caesar. He sent his army to conquer Valais so that the connection between Rome and Avenches would be guaranteed forever.

However, Caesar's legionaries not only brought war and misery to the Rhone Valley, they also benefited from the beginnings of civilisation, such as reading and writing, as well as the fruit trees and vines they brought with them.

Tasting note
chevron-down

The wine's complex flavours are reminiscent of ripe fruit, dominated by stewed rhubarb and grapefruit. A balanced, complex structure develops on the palate with a beautiful, ripe acidity and the typical salty finish.

Vinification
