Excellent as an aperitif, with cheese specialities and dishes with fish from local waters.
The perfect companion for any occasion. This was the initial idea that inspired the best Swiss winemaker of the decade to compose this white blend of Chardonnay, Chasselas and Pinot Blanc. A white wine that, like an eloquent and stylish charmer, not only knows how to shine on any stage, but also how to crown the occasion irresistibly with its presence.
The artistic label was designed by artist Oskar Rütsche especially for the Mathier family. The name Gigolo is reminiscent of the 1920s and of Europe in the aftermath of the war. Due to a shortage of men, dance club owners had to find a solution to get women without partners to dance at a time when couple dancing was still widespread. They hired men of all kinds – young and old, tall and short, fat and thin – the so-called dance partners or gigolos. These men were paid to dance with the women and thus add some spark to the evening.
Like the gigolos of the 1920s, our Gigolo also ensures that the evening comes alive. He dances in every glass – smooth and elegant. If you look closely, you will notice that there is no vintage on our bottle. However, this is no coincidence. After all, what good gigolo would reveal his age?
Remarkably fruity and harmonious. Convinces with its freshness and beautiful balance. Full-bodied and generous on the palate with a rounded acidity and beautiful length.
Traditional ageing in stainless steel tanks. The grape varieties in this blend are matured individually.
