Wine history

The first thing that strikes any wine lover when looking at the bottle of Fendant Ville de Sierre is the striking lettering. Created by an artist, it is a tribute to Diego Mathier's grandfather, Oskar Mathier.

The sun is proudly emblazoned above it, as if in the firmament, symbolising the origin of this elegant Fendant. The Ville de Sierre grapes are grown in Sierre, the city of the sun. More than 300 days of sunshine a year ensure that this Fendant is an unforgettable flavour experience, sip after sip.

Fermented young wine with refined residual sweetness, which elegantly rounds off the youthful fruit of our Ville de Sierre.

Vinification

Alcoholic fermentation is completed before all the natural sugar from the harvest has fermented. Maturation in stainless steel tanks.
