The Thelygenie VALSAR red is a blend of five different wines from Grand Cru vineyards in Valais. Each of the five wines, which are contained in equal parts in the assemblage, represents one of the five daughters of the best Swiss winegrower of the decade. The Mathier daughters have chosen the lips as the symbol for the label. Together with the mouth, they are an important part of our body for tasting and enjoying a wine. The red, sensual lips symbolise pleasure and youthfulness.
The Thelygenie VALSAR red impresses with a deep dark colour with burgundy reflections. The barrique notes are well integrated into this full-bodied top wine. Its full-bodied attack ends with beautiful, present but velvety soft tannins. As it is matured unfiltered like all other barrique wines in the family line, numerous positive elements of the wines are retained and guarantee a unique enjoyment experience.
The Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Diolinoir, Gamaret and Ancelotta grape varieties are matured separately in French barrique barrels for nine months before being married.
