Topaz is a gemstone with an incredible variety of colours. Its Greek name is linked to a romantic story. Shipwrecked pirates are said to have discovered the stone on a legendary island in the Red Sea - Topazos. This means as much as sought and found.
As the stone of the month, topaz is associated with November. In this month, the vine recovers from the harvest and hibernation begins. The diverse colours of topaz are comparable to those of the fading autumn. The individual wines of this assemblage ferment in the cellars, and an unbelievable aroma gives a hint of promise.
Delicate sweet wine with an intense nose of exotic fruits such as mango, pineapple and lychee. Mild yet invigorating on the palate. A real treat for the palate thanks to its intense fruit, the presence of residual sugar and wonderful acidity. A hint of tannins also accompanies the long-lasting finish of this rarity.
Natural residual sweetness, late harvest in November at a minimum of 140 Öchsle. Vinified in new French oak barrels and matured on the lees in the Rhone glacier. Acid degradation is prevented.
