My wine has cones – what now?
If one of the ordered bottles has a coney taste, we will reimburse you for it. The prerequisite for this is that the defect is detectable and at least ¾ of the bottle is still full.
How is a cone wine reimbursed?
If the same vintage is still available, the wine will be exchanged. Otherwise, you will receive a credit note that you can redeem against a subsequent order.
How do I get the replacement wine or the credit note?
We can only refund the corkage fee if you return the bottle to us. You can either drop it off at our winery in Salgesch, at the Ritschard wine shop in Interlaken or at the Salgescher Weinkeller Mathier in Hochdorf / Lucerne. You can then either take a new wine directly or we will issue you with a credit note that you can use for a later follow-up order.
Do I have to buy exactly the same wine again?
No. You can use the value of the tapped wine for any other wine in our range.
How long after purchase can I exchange tapped wine?
We will exchange tapped wine for up to three years from the date of purchase.
Are there any bottles that are excluded from the tapped wine rule?
Wines sealed with synthetic corks or screw caps and wines that have exceeded the recommended drinking age are excluded from the tap wine scheme.
